Place the greek yogurt, vanilla, and milk in the bottom of the blender. Next, add spinach, frozen blueberries, and sliced bananas. 

Blend on high until smooth and creamy puree. You can add 1-2 tbsp of water at a time as needed to blend it smoothly. 

Add some honey or any sweetener of your choice. Blend it well for about 10 seconds and serve.

  • Use a good quality high-power blender like Vitamix, Blendtec, or NutriBullet. You will achieve a perfectly blended and smooth smoothie every time.
  • If you don’t own a high-power blender, chop the fruits into small pieces. 
  • Run your blender for a long time to achieve a smoother consistency if you aren’t using a high-power blender.
  • Using frozen fruits is key for making the best, thick, and creamy smoothie. Frozen fruits will help keep your smoothie thick and frosty. If you did not get time for freezing the fruits, you can use a few ice cubes for achieving the same.

Variations

  • You can use freshly chopped fruits as well if you have not frozen them in advance. Add a few ice cubes while blending the smoothie. Frozen fruits will help keep your smoothie thick and frosty. 
  • I have used 2% milk in the recipe but I have tried using almond milk in the past and it tastes delicious as well.
  • If you find the smoothie is quite thick for you, add some milk or water to thin it. I like my smoothies thick.
  • Mixed berries go really well in this recipe, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries are all great. The color and taste will vary depending on your berries ratio.
  • You can add a few nuts like almonds or cashew nuts for some healthy fats. 
  • Nut butter is a good variation for some nuttiness in the smoothie. 
  • Add some hemp seeds, flax seeds, or chia seeds as well to add a dose of some protein.
  • Combine some vanilla or strawberry protein powder for a protein dose. 
  • You may add a handful of kale or chard instead of spinach in the recipe. 
  • Maple syrup or any other sweetener can be added for some more sweetness in the smoothie.

  • 1 medium Banana sliced, frozen
  • 1/2 cup Baby spinach cleaned
